I'm about 50/50 on that. If I'm buying the book for a how-to - then (obviously) I like it. If I just want to look at pretty pictures and be inspired, then not. I find buying the books from major quilt exhibitions feeds my "oooooh pretty!" need, and other books, I want the "how to". <br /><br />The art deco quilt book you're talking about sounds really interesting!
